Canuel History
Canuel Caterers, DBA Canwell Enterprises Ltd. was initiated 30 plus years ago by two entrepreneurial brothers with the ambitions of starting up a company that would rival other large, multi-national food service providers in Canada. We are able to attract new clients while retaining our existing client base, such as our first account in the lower mainland, which after 30 years, we still retain today. We have 45+ school accounts combined in the Lower Mainland and the Interior of British Columbia, in addition to multiple corporate accounts. Supported by strong management, sales and operational team, we offer a variety of styles of service for lunch service in these facilities, including meal programs for schools.
In addition to on-site concession, vending, and customized coffee programs, we also provide on-site catering for groups of 10 to 1500 customers. Last year we exceeded one million dollars in catering alone.
In 2012, Canuel Caterers completed the construction of a multi-million-dollar production centre in Surrey, increasing our capacity by approximately 100-fold.
We operate in a no-frill environment where our goal is to offer a no gimmicks approach to business with full transparency. As a team of incredibly dedicated, reliable, and hardworking individuals, we strive to please our clients with the finest food and service while also growing our business.
A Celebration of Life
It is with great sadness Canuel Caterers announces the loss of one the two co-founders of Canuel Caterers, Brian Canuel. For some time now Brian has been fighting the good fight, trying to regain his health. He lost that fight on Monday, April 14, 2014, while travelling the world with his wife Elaine, and his “never give up” attitude. His presence, and humour, will be missed, not only at Canuel Caterers, but in the Food Service industry where he was extremely well liked and respected by all who knew him.
Canuel Caterers, a family company in the truest sense, will always remember the man who helped create them. It is said that your legacy is those that are left behind and with the steady and stable leadership of his brother Glenn, and his entire team, Canuel Caterers will honour Brian's memory by continuing to deliver the foundational core values and service that Glenn and Brian created the company with.
